Quick answer: The best baby's first Christmas gifts are cozy things in a holiday print that get used all season and kept long after: a Christmas swaddle ($26), a double-sided Christmas blanket ($36), or a complete Christmas gift set with a blanket and two swaddles ($54). Add footie pajamas ($36) for Christmas morning photos.
The complete Christmas gift: holiday gift sets ($54)
Each set has one double-sided muslin blanket and two muslin swaddles, all 100% cotton, packaged for gifting. It costs less than buying the three pieces separately, and at $54 it ships free with Economy shipping.

- Celeste & Nova Pink Gift Set: the Celeste Christmas tree print plus the sparkly Nova Pink star print.

For Christmas morning: footie pajamas ($36)
Our long-sleeve footie sets have fold-over mittens and built-in footies, in soft TENCEL™ Modal. They come in sizes Newborn, 0-3 months and 3-6 months, in the Gus Goose, Hudson Horse and Axel Race Car prints. Pair them with the matching swaddle for photos.
For a December baby: coming home sets
If the baby is due around the holidays, a coming home set ($64) covers the first ride home: a stretch swaddle, newborn-size footie pajamas and a matching beanie or bow. Read our coming home outfit gift guide for more.
A quick safety note
Blankets are for supervised cuddles, photos and stroller rides. For sleep, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends placing babies on their back on a firm, flat surface with no loose blankets in the sleep space. Source: HealthyChildren.org.
